For several years, Perry Wellness Center peer Vicki Lamika has enjoyed the task of garden maintenance on the campus grounds.
“Plants remind me of life,” Vicki explains. “I like to remove all of the older flowers to make room for new buds and flowers. I have always enjoyed watering plants to see the new flowers they present.”
Vicki has even given lessons to others on the care of roses and how best to remove old petals.
Although PWC and the surrounding area have enjoyed periodic rain this season, the many gardens and both outside and greenhouse plants still require routine watering and other maintenance. Luckily, Vicki is always prepared to pitch in. Thanks, Vicki!
