To ensure maximum protection against COVID-19, Perry Wellness Center follows health protocols as it transports peers in its fleet of vans. During last spring’s pandemic shutdown, staff collaborated in determining the best rider protection measures for the four transit vans operated by PWC’s transit company.
There is normally maximum seating of 15 riders in each van. With new protocols, three peers are allowed on the rear seat, two on the center seat, and four riders behind the van driver. Plexiglass partitions have been installed to provide social distancing. Conversation among riders is still possible, but with better separation.
