As Perry Wellness Center grows in size and offerings, activity at the center has increased – even in the midst of the COVID pandemic. Recently, two staff members and one peer member tested positive for the coronavirus, leading to shutdown of the center and Rudy’s Happy Patch Market for seven days.
PWC founder and CEO Stuart Perry explains, “The health and wellness of our staff and peers is an issue that I must closely follow. We have been lucky with all the activity at our market, but I want to be sure that all who visit and learn here are safe.”
In addition to ongoing sanitary measures, several total cleanings of all areas of the center and market have been conducted since the pandemic began. But tough times call for tough measures. Stuart says, “During our last shutdown, we even moved all of the cafeteria furniture out and gave the center a thorough cleaning (see photo, above). We mopped and waxed the floors to make our welcome more complete.”
Perry Wellness Center has been lucky to have most staff and peers stay healthy during this difficult time. Thanks to all for complying with health and safety measures in a spirit of caring and cooperation.
