Repeat customers are a valuable sign of the success of any business, and Rudy’s Happy Patch Market is no exception. We even count drive-bys! Longtime customers and local residents Beth and Tom Usry recently shared how, on drives past Happy Patch, they had noticed the changes being made on the corner of Elm and Furlow Streets.
“We were not familiar with the move of the market, but kept on looking to enjoy your fresh vegetables,” shared Mrs. Usry. “We will spread the news, and now we know where to come.”
Hearing the names of the customers, staff member Mulkey McMichael stopped to talk. A past teacher and art director at Americus High School, he thought the name “Tom Usry” sounded familiar. It turned out that the Tom in question was the Usrys’ son and a former student of Mulkey.
“Tom was a talented art student in high school. His talent and attitude were both good,” Mulkey recalled.
