At a recovery and wellness center, even the produce gets a wellness check. Stuart Perry, founder and CEO of Perry Wellness Center, is also a self-designated monitor of customer service and product display at Rudy’s Happy Patch Market. The market serves as a primary community outreach and fundraiser for PWC, but for Stuart, it is just as important to satisfy each customer.
Each Monday morning, Stuart takes time to check the many product display tables in the new market space. He thinks of this task as a “wellness review.” The hot summer weather has made him even more vigilant.
“I am proud of our market staff and product displays,” Stuart says. “But I am compelled to check the displays for any produce that might be spotted with decay. I want to serve only the best in our market.”
