On Thursday, December 13, 2012, everyone is invited to Rudy's Happy Patch Market and General Store for a special holiday offering. The center's fifth annual Cheer Up the Blues event will be held from 5:00– 7:00 p.m. at our 302 East Furlow Street campus.
The event is designed to offer a spirit of hope for the holidays. It is offered particularly in support of those in the community who are affected by clinical depression, which often increases during the holiday season.
Cheer Up the Blues participants will celebrate, shop, and enjoy a variety of entertainment at the event. Free fruit bags will be given out, live music will be performed, and a live remote will be provided by WISK-WDEC. Refreshments will be served to all who drop by.
At the market, the expanded General Store will be filled with handcrafted Christmas décor as well as many unique holiday gifts. Peer clients who attend the center provided partnership in the creation of many of the items which are available for purchase.
Best of all, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting Perry Wellness Center during the celebration. For a small fee, holiday photos with Santa and the children will be available.
Also featured is a gasoline raffle, with prizes of 50, 75, and 100 gallons of fuel. Tickets can be purchased at the event for $1.00, and the drawing for the raffle winners will be held Friday, December 21. Benefits from the raffle will be used to support the campus expansion at the center.
