One week later, we are still enjoying our memories of the 2022 downtown Americus Christmas parade, including our sixth consecutive award for the best float. Much of this win is attributable to the talented work of Jeff Williams. While he has won awards for his fine art and had paintings hung in an exhibit at the Louvre, Jeff also takes pride in his creative efforts on behalf of Perry Wellness Center.

Jeff explains, “Like others, I want to be a part of any win. I have been blessed to be noticed for my work nationally. But it is more important to see Perry Wellness Center peers so happy and excited. This community venture offers a new arena for peers and proves again that we do good things for those we serve as well as the city of Americus.”

Jeff continues, “All of us at Perry Wellness Center represent recovery from mental illness or substance abuse. To seeing our peers riding on the float or walking behind lets me know that Americus is comfortable with what we do.”
