As manager of Rudy’s Happy Patch Market at Perry Wellness Center, longtime peer Nakia Rhone knows the importance of displays that are attractive as well as accurate in their information about products. One of the most important aspects of accuracy in marketing is having correct prices displayed for goods.
Nakia has firsthand knowledge of the importance of checking and rechecking inventory, as price guns are only as accurate as the hand of the individual using it. Haste in creating displays can lead to inadvertent mistakes. Nakia recalls a past incident where a display of jars of pickles was marked at $.85 per jar, when the correct price was $8.00!
Now, Nakia doublechecks each inventory display after new additions.
“I must be sure of correct pricing since several peers and staff take part in the display process. I may miss some products, but all products have the correct price,” the smiling peer staff manager explained.
