Mobile Market UnloadingAs the Mobile Market program grows at Perry Wellness Center this summer, our fleet of trucks has been on the road, carrying plants and produce to outlying towns throughout the region.

When a truck from Rudy’s Happy Patch Market heads out, laden with a fresh inventory, there is always a sense of excitement in the air, and when a truck arrives at its destination, customers greet it with enthusiasm.

But the return of a truck from its trip is a time for pleasure at a job well done and readiness to get the remaining products back to their regulated market environment.

In the cool of the morning, plants are checked and inventoried, and baskets are rehung. The vertical water feed tube system is checked to ensure that all returning plants receive an adequate water supply.

“With the record heat, we must be sure that all plants are watered, either with a water hose or through the vertical tubes,” PWC founder and CEO Stuart Perry explains.
