Tomato ManAs reported earlier in the week, Perry Wellness Center had a successful Art Expo and Fundraiser last Saturday. We wanted to share some details of the day for those who were unable to be there.

First, the rare, comfortable morning temperature led to a flurry of visitors. Rudy’s Happy Patch Market was the epicenter of the event, and it was described as the center of commerce and celebration. As described in the invitation flyer, visitors were treated to displays of peer artwork and handmade crafts. In the spirit of celebration, guests were able to partake of many county fair treats, including baked goods, lemonade, hotdogs, and homemade ice cream. Garden tours were also available for visitors.

PWC peers posted themselves at various locations to welcome visitors and work on their crafts. The market itself was also filled with local farmers making deliveries of their latest produce -- including the market favorite, fresh tomatoes. And speaking of tomatoes, it was worth the visit to see Perry Wellness Center founder and CEO Stuart Perry dressed in his special tomato outfit!

Stuart is pictured above in said outfit, along with his sister, market sales floor manager Susan Childs.

From entry to checkout, the market environment was one of celebration. Stay tuned for more photos and a look at how children enjoy the day.
