The Perry Wellness family often extends to animals who visit the campus or make their home here. Longtime peer and staff member Nakia Rhone, pictured here, is the cat whisperer on the Perry Wellness Center campus. She often looks out for visiting felines.

Recently, Nakia made a new friend, yet unnamed – a fluffy black cat. We found it visiting in the market. Nakia noted, “This little cat loves to love and loves to be loved.”

In general, people with pets have better mental health. A little unconditional love can do us all some good!
