Perry Wellness Center founder and CEO Stuart Perry is well known as an animal lover. At work, he is also known as a can-do leader who enjoys hard work. But even the best leader has days when he needs less work and more animal companionship. Such a day came from Stuart last week upon completion of a state audit on the premises.
While Stuart represented PWC well at the audit, a tiny dog took temporary refuge in a nearby office, where he had been placed him with his pen to get some needed attention while his owner was hard at work.
Now comes the “meet cute” scene. The morning after the audit, Stuart came to work exhausted and wanting to take some time out in his office. Work was delegated to others. Stuart now explains: “When I arrived at work, I saw the small dog. He left the pen, came to my office, and climbed on a blanketed chair. Both the dog and I were exhausted, so we napped together and enjoyed our day. I felt quite secure with this ‘guard dog’ at my side.”
