Once again, we’ve been pleased to welcome a group of senior nursing students to our campus. For the past three years, Perry Wellness Center and Georgia Southwestern State University’s Nursing Program have partnered to provide mental health orientations to graduating senior nurses.
Recently a total of 50 nursing students visited our campus. They received a tour of the campus, including Rudy’s Happy Patch Market, the classroom building and Hope Park. Led on their tour by peer Rhonda Hubbard, the group was then met by founder Stuart Perry.
“We welcome you today,” Stuart said. “We are excited that you have selected our campus activity to view as a reminder of the growing need to help others suffering from mental health, alcohol, and drug issues. Come back as you can!”
Along with Georgia Southwestern, South Georgia Technical College has also sent nursing students to our campus. Each visit is a learning experience for both the students and our own peers and staff. We appreciate such opportunities for collaboration with our local community institutions of higher learning.
