PWC Plans for Spring Amid Winter Bluster
What a changeable season we are in! The new year began with deluges of rain and lots of thunder and lightning, followed by sunny skies with temperatures of 70+ degrees. Today promises more rain, with areas to the north of us anticipating snow.
Perry Wellness Center founder and CEO Stuart Perry always has an eye on season, from market offerings to garden plantings. As he catches his breath from the busy Christmas season, he is thinking ahead.
Planning is already underway for the spring plant inventory. Market manager Charles Tanner says, “We know that the weather is unpredictable, but we want to be early to offer our usual inventory of plants and shrubs. We have to order early and hope that our delivery will be at the right time to avoid late cold.”
In the meantime, staff and peers are removing the last of the Christmas decorations from the campus. “It was a fun season,” Stuart reflects, even as he looks forward to an equally colorful spring.
