Recently, Rudy’s Happy Patch Market manager Charles Tanner came up with an idea to show his appreciation for the increased customer traffic this season. Customers were presented with a numbered tag when they entered the market, and a winning number was selected by Perry Wellness Center and founder Stuart Perry.
WISK Radio, a longtime community partner with the center, provided publicity for the campaign, and response was great. After several days at the market, the winning number – 50! – was given to customers Ervan and Gail Arial. The Arials are supporters of the center’s mission and had visited the market that day to select plants from the multi-colored inventory of geraniums.
When Mr. Arial approached the counter with their selection, he was informed that he and his wife were the winners of the customer appreciation campaign. The award was a free plant of their choice. Mrs. Arial selected a Mandeville bush, valued at $20.
Other numbers were selected and prizes given during the appreciation campaign. Thanks to everyone who participated!
