During the 2017 Christmas holidays, Perry Wellness Center reached out to the community to express its thanks for its partnership with others in the community. As PWC founder and CEO Stuart Perry explained, “Christmas is a time of giving. We should all do our part to remember others and thank them for their friendship each day – and especially at Christmas.”
As one statement of seasonal gratitude, the center donated a total of 42 fresh greenery wreaths to the Americus Police Department. Doug Larsen, long-time Christmas tree enthusiast and marketer contacted the department to arrange delivery to the Public Safety Building on Monday, December 18. Perry Wellness Center leadership met with several officers of the Americus Police Department for the delivery of the wreaths, freshly constructed with Douglas fir boughs from the center’s Christmas Tree Wonderland.
Appreciative officers and staff shared their thanks for the Christmas gifts and displayed them around the front reception area of the Russell Thomas Municipal Building.
“This was not a lot for us to do, but to share with others means much to me and my family,” Stuart noted. At this time of year, “backing the Blue” can be conveyed by sharing the green – the fragrant gift of a live wreath, bound for the door of one of Americus’ finest.
