Cabbage PatchNo matter what the weather, peer Mike Harper enjoys year-round garden maintenance. On the campus of Perry Wellness Center, he certainly has plenty of garden projects to keep him busy!

During the spring and summer, for example, Mike leads other peers in clipping growth from shrubs and tends to seasonal garden beds. During colder months, he continues to maintain garden beds, such as the thriving cabbage plant area pictured above.

Mike is aware of the dangers of too much exposure during colder weather, so he bundles up and works for shorter periods. But he knows that cabbage isn’t going to raise itself!

“It is fun to make this place look good,” Mike explains. “Stuart has been good to me, and I want to help down here.” We appreciate a man who prides himself in his work. Thanks for all you do, Mike!
