Annie Ruth ThomasA founding peer member of Perry Wellness Center has recently returned to the center after a long absence, and we couldn’t be happier! Annie Ruth Thomas returned to her peer and staff family after a nine-month absence due to illness.

PWC founder and CEO Stuart Perry took time to reflect on her history with the center. “Annie Ruth joined us in the early days at Tom Perry Peer Center as our lead cook and meal planner, on that hotplate,” he recalled, referring to the fact that early meals were prepared on a lone hotplate. “She helped us raise money with our goat activity and raffles.

“We are glad to have her back with us. She has lost some weight, but we will fatten her up,” Stuart concluded.

Annie Ruth said, “I did miss this place and the good activity and fun we have. We have new peers, but I will learn their names. I am happy to return and work to complete my recovery.”

Welcome back, Annie Ruth!
