PWC Participates in Local "Farm to Fork" Benefit

Recently several representatives of Perry Wellness Center attended a "Farm to Fork" gala benefitting the Koinonia Farm Educational Cooperative. This community education center offers farm-based learning opportunities to children throughout the Americus area, as well as worldwide visitors.

Happy Patch Market manager Phyllis Bleckley, along with Mulkey McMichael and Jeff Williams, attended on behalf of the market, which has been a strong supporter of area farmers. A variety of local farm and markets were represented at the event, ranging from vineyards to apiaries, along with numerous produce growers.

Our representatives enjoyed a superb meal with locally grown ingredients and received tips and information about how eating locally grown food is beneficial both to individuals' nutrition but the local economy.

Enjoying the evening's festivities are, left to right: Jeff Williams, Phyllis Bleckly, and Mulkey McMichael.
